Standing in Solidarity for Our Iranian Sisters

As a human rights organization, the Women’s Resource Center is deeply concerned about the situation in Iran, the oppression and brutal force used against peaceful people who protest against women’s obligation to wear hijabs by removing their hijabs, cutting their hair, and burning hijabs in public.

In Iran, the removal of the hijab is a punishable crime, which is a classic violation of human rights.

WRCA strictly condemns the attempted assassination of Iranian Mahsa Amini, after which the events took place, brutal attacks, and the disproportionate force the authorities use against peaceful protesters, as a result of which around 133 people have been killed.

All these events one more time show the injustice, inequality, and discrimination women face across the world.

Nowadays, in this so-called civilized world women still risk their lives to fight for body autonomy, which is unacceptable.
